Shakopee Public Schools, in partnership with the Shakopee African Community Agency, is providing an after school center specifically for the district's African students. The Homework Helper is designed to help students in grades 1 through 9 who need academic assistance in any of their classes. Tutoring services, homework completion and access to technology will be available at the Homework Helper.
The Homework Helper will be held at the Kubes Building at 1221 East 4th Avenue in Shakopee.
Students must have approval from their parent and a teacher to attend this program.
Once registered for this program, regular attendance is required.
Students may also participate in after school learning opportunities at their schools.
This is in addition to those programs.
