Achievements
Congratulations to the Shakopee High School Dance Team!
The varsity team finished 4th overall at the Missota Dance Championship
while the junior varisty team placed 6th overall.
Shakopee Junior High School technology instructor T.J. Hendrickson
has received the Teacher Excellence Award from the
International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.
He is one of 36 teachers from across the U.S. to receive this award.
The award is one of the highest honors given to
technology education teachers and is presented
in recognition of each recipient's outstanding contribution
to the profession and to his/her students.
Shakopee HIgh School cross-country runner Maria Hauger has been named
Gatorade Minnesota Girls' Cross-Country Runner of the Year.
This is the third consecutive year she has earned this award.

Congratulations to the Shakopee Junior High School Knowledge Bowl team
which won 4th place at the final competition in Blaine on Jan. 10!
Forty nine teams competed in the event.
The team members were Rehab Hasmi, Leah Sheeler, Keaton Tauer,
Phillip Hoffarth, Alex Exsted and Akhil Sharma.
Shakopee Junior High School has been named
a Project Lead The Way 2011-2012 Model School
as Best in STEM Education.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
The junior high school is one of 16 secondary schools
across the country selected for this award.
