Throughout the school year your child will be learning these high frequency words; each Kindergartner must be able to read these words by the end of the academic year. Your child will also be practicing writing these words throughout the year.

Continue to practice with your child at home. A great way is to ask them if they recognize any high frequency words when reading a book together. Ask them to point to words they recognize and to read them to you. Positive reinforcement and becoming excited about reading is so important with your child!
