I am a teacher of Multilingual Learners (MLs) at Eagle Creek Elementary.

 

I provide a supportive environment for students to develop academic and social English. I work on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for academic and social purposes.  

 

I started studying Spanish when I was in 6th grade. I studied for a semester at a university in Santiago, Chile. I also completed a portion of my student teaching in Quito, Ecuador. I have traveled to Argentina, Peru, Puerto Rico and Mexico. I have to work hard  and practice to maintain my skills in Spanish. That is why I am so inspired by our multilingual students and their commitment to learning  both inside and outside of school.
