Degrees and Certifications:
I am excited to be at Shakopee High School as a 9-12 Counselor! I believe counselors are a vital part of the school team. We help all students in the areas of academic achievement, postsecondary planning, and social/emotional development so that students become productive, healthy adults. I grew up in Little Falls, MN and went to college at the University of Minnesota-Morris, where I competed in volleyball and obtained a BA in Psychology. I then attended Minnesota State University-Mankato for my MS in Professional School Counseling. In addition to this, I have a Certificate in Adolescent Mental Health from Bethel University. I started my career as a school counselor in 1999 at Eagan High School and have been at Shakopee High School since 2015. I am married with three children attending schools in the Shakopee School District. I have coached youth volleyball and basketball for the past 20+ years. When I am not in the gym watching my kids or students, I enjoy spending time at the cabin, reading, and dreaming of travel.
