Summer Programs

Shakopee Public Schools offers engaging summer programming for students in rising Grades K–12. These programs are designed to help students strengthen their academic skills, build social-emotional confidence, explore new interests and recover high school credits when needed.

In addition, Extended School Year services, newcomer and multilingual partnership programs are available for eligible students to ensure continued support and success.

Elementary - Invite Only

Registration Deadline Extended to April 10.

The Shakopee Elementary Summer Learning Adventures Program is an invite-only opportunity for rising 1st–5th Grade students, designed to provide an extra boost for the upcoming school year. Students are identified through a combination of academic performance, assessment data and teacher input. The program features weekly themed, academic and activity-based learning experiences with a primary focus on supporting reading and math skills.

Middle School - Open to All

The Shakopee Middle School Summer Learning Adventures Program is a five-week summer program for rising 6th–8th Grade students, designed to provide an extra boost for the upcoming school year. Any rising middle school student is welcome to participate. The program features weekly themed, academic and activity-based learning experiences with a primary focus on supporting reading and math skills.

9th Grade Saber Launch

Registration Deadline Extended to April 10.

The Shakopee 9th Grade Summer Saber Launch Program is a 4-week summer program designed to provide an extra boost for rising 9th Grade students in order for them to make a successful transition into Shakopee High School.

High School Credit Recovery

The High School Credit Recovery Program is a 4-week program open to students in grades 10-12 who have received an “F” or “No Grade” mark for any required English, Math, Science or Social Studies courses taken this school year AND have not already been recovered in a credit recovery program.
