Welcome to East Middle School.

I am the School Social Worker for East.  My journey to East Middle School has been interesting.  Prior to joining Shakopee, I was a school social worker for a local intermediate school with a focus on working with High School and Transitions age students who struggled with mental and behavioral health challenges.  Most of my experiences as a school social worker has been working with student in special education programming.   Prior to becoming a school social worker, I worked in various roles including as a child and family therapist, running a therapeutic school and some other roles.   I have really enjoyed my time as a school social worker.
