About the Alumni Association

SAA
The Shakopee Alumni Association, 501(c)(3) public charity managed by the community, operate as a voice for Shakopee alumni and friends and to focus on five key goals:
 
  1. Encourage a continuing relationship between alumni and the Shakopee School District
  2. Organize alumni activities and support class reunions
  3. Contribute human and financial resources to the Shakopee Public Schools

Each year the Shakopee Alumni Association, in partnership with Shakopee Public Schools, will sponsor an annual event for the Shakopee Distinguished Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fames. Nominations for the Hall of Fame Class are accepted each year May 1 - June 15th.

Donation and general engagement inquires can be directed to the SAA via email.  Online links and resources for each year will be posted as they become available.

The Shakopee Alumni Association is incorporated with State of Minnesota and has been classified by the IRS as a Section 501(c)(3) public charity.  Charitable contributions to SAA are now deductible to the extent allowable by law.

The Shakopee Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Distinguished Hall Of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame through June 15, 2026. 

Applications may be submitted electronically via the below links. The Hall of Fame honoree(s) will be celebrated during Homecoming on Friday, September 18, 2026. Additional details on date, time and location will be shared once the honoree(s) are announced.

Election of Inductees:

  • The Shakopee Alumni Association Selection Committee may select a maximum of four (4) inductees per category each year.
  • The Selection Committee may select a maximum of one (1) "friend" recipient per year or none if they so desire.
  • All nominees not selected in will remain on the nominee selection list.
