Shakopee Public Schools has been significantly impacted by the emerald ash borer. We have treated as many ash trees as possible that have a reasonable chance of surviving. Unfortunately, the remaining affected trees will need to be removed.

Tree removal is scheduled to begin the week of August 17, with stump grinding to follow shortly afterward.

Most trees slated for removal have been marked with orange, green or pink ribbon. Trees with metal tags have been treated.
