Board Approves Superintendent Contract for Gary Anger

The Shakopee school board approved a superintendent contract for Gary Anger for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years along with a title change to Superintendent of Schools.

"It's great to have an employee doing so well and this was performance driven," said Matt McKeand, board member.

In the two year contract, Anger will earn an annual salary of $189,000 for the 2018-19 contract year and $193,000 for the 2019-2020 contract year.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to further serve the Shakopee Schools community as superintendent," said Anger. "Since the first day I started in Shakopee, one of my goals was to earn the removal of the “interim” tag on my title. In the past year, I have done my best for the students, staff and community members we serve in Shakopee and am proud of our accomplishments. This title change and contract extension is certainly a reflection of the dedicated work of the entire district and not just myself. My sincere thanks to the students, school board, staff and Shakopee community."
