Shakopee Public Schools Hires Central Family Center Administrator
JUNE 25, 2019 - Shakopee Public Schools is proud to announce Julie Ritter is joining the district as the Central Family Center (CFC) Administrator.
“I am beyond excited to start my new position with Shakopee Public Schools,” said Ritter. “I look forward to collaborating with staff and parents to meet the educational needs of all children.”
Ritter will manage the operations and functions of the district’s early childhood programming and initiatives. She will also provide leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of quality programming for all students, including those with disabilities.
For the past eight years, Ritter served as the Early Child and Family Education (ECFE) Manager of Lakeville Area Public Schools. She managed the operations of the ECFE, School Readiness, and Early Childhood Screening programs. She also provided program strategic planning, goals, and objectives for continuous improvement.
Ritter’s educational background includes the following: Doctoral Candidate, Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (Minnesota State University, Mankato), Master of Science in Educational Leadership (Minnesota State University, Mankato), Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education (North Dakota State University), and Post Graduate Studies in Parent & Adult Education (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities).
“Julie brings a wealth of knowledge in Early Childhood and Family Education,” said Shakopee Public Schools Superintendent Mike Redmond. “Her background in strategic planning, program development and management are a great fit for Central Family Center.”
Ritter will join Shakopee Public Schools part-time starting July 1, 2019 and transition to full-time employment in August.
