Jackson Elementary Veteran Recognized During Minnesota Wild Game
NOVEMBER 21, 2019 -- Bristol Evasco serves our students during the week and her country on the weekend. Recently, her service as both a technical sergeant in the Minnesota Air National Guard and as a special education teacher at Jackson Elementary, was recognized by the Minnesota Wild. She was chosen as the “Guardian of the Game” at the Wild’s Educator Appreciation Night.
Evasco spends one weekend a month working as a broadcast journalist in the national guard. She shoots and edits videos and interviews training missions, daily jobs and command messages. She has worked in the National Guard since 2010. Evasco started in Nebraska and relocated to Minnesota in 2015.
Her weeks look very different when she’s immersed into the world of school. She’s a special education teacher at Jackson Elementary and has been there since 2015. She was employed as a paraprofessional while she worked on her Master's Degree. This is her fourth year working in the Emotional Behavioral Disorder resource setting.
We are so proud of Bristol and appreciate her contributions to our school district and our country!
