Early Childhood Screenings

Free Early Childhood Screenings, which are required within 90 days of attending Stepping Stones Preschool and to enter Kindergarten, can be scheduled online here. 

Reminder: All families, with the exception of Kindergarten, must complete the annual update each school year. Emergency information is used for weather alerts, no school reminders and emergency notifications. These updates can be completed at anytime online in Infinite Campus.

Back to School Reminders

The start of a new school year is here, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students, families and staff back to Shakopee Public Schools! For those who are new to our district, we are so glad you're here! Below are some important back-to-school dates, schedules and reminders to help your family start the year feeling prepared and confident. These reminders can also be found online and in the attached resource.

A new year of learning, connection, growth and Saber Pride is about to begin. We can't wait to see you!

Back to School Dates

  • Students in Grades 6-12 will begin school on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. 

    • 6th and 9th Grade students will report to school in person, while students in Grades 7 and 8 and Grades 10 through 12 will participate in an asynchronous learning day online. Students who receive special services will receive additional information directly from their case manager.

    • All students in Grades 6 through 12 will attend school in person on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. 

  • Students in Early Childhood through Grade 5 will attend Connect and Assess appointments on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 or Wednesday, September 2, 2026. 

    • Their first full day of school for E-5 students will be Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Required Online Updates: All families, with the exception of Kindergarten, must complete the annual update paperwork before the start of school. These updates can be completed online in Infinite Campus by clicking MORE> Online Registration > Start in the menu at any time. This update is connected to the district's emergency notification system. Please click here for more information on the district's safety protocol.

Transportation" Palmer Bus routes are available in Infinite Campus. 

  • Families still have the ability to track their students' bus route via StopFinder. Learn more here and be on the lookout for an activation email that was sent in mid-August if not already connected (email activation is only required one time). 

  • If your child in Grades E-5 is eligible for transportation but declines this service, please complete this form as soon as possible to ensure efficient routes.
