At home, you can help your child learn these words by doing the following:

    * Dictate words to your child and have them spell the words aloud and/or on paper.

    * Help your child notice the tricky parts in words.

    * Have your child write them in a sentence with correct capitalization and punctuation.

    * Find the words that are homophones on the lists. (Homophones are words that sound the same, but are spelled differently.)

    * Create flash cards with the words your child has trouble reading and spelling.
