My name is Dana Rick and I have been teaching for 23 years, most of which have been at Sweeney. I love this school and the students that attend!

 

My husband, children and I live in Shakopee. My son a senior in high school this year and my daughter is starting her first year as a first grade teacher in Lakeville.  

 

We enjoy spending time together as a family. We love to travel, spend time at our family’s cabin near Motley, Minnesota, and devote a lot of time to keeping our dog, Crosby, out of trouble. He has been a handful and we keep thinking as he gets older things will change.  He turned 6 this summer, and still a trouble maker!

 

I love teaching first grade, I think it is an amazing year for growth both academically and socially.
