My name is Amy Rutter and this is my 19th year of teaching and my 16th year in the Shakopee school district. Teaching Kindergarten in Shakopee has been a wonderful experience for me and I look forward to all of the learning that will happen this year.

I am the oldest of four with two brothers and a sister. I grew up in Apple Valley where I was active in Softball and Music. I have an undergratuate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I majored in Music Education. I also have my masters degree in Pre-primary-6th grade General Education from The College of St. Catherines. I taught in the West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Eagan School District for 3 years before coming to Shakopee.

I love to hang out with my family and friends, visit the lake in the summer, golf and read.

I cannot express how much I love teaching Kindergarten and look forward to a wonderful year with lots of learning!
