Welcome to preschool at Pearson Early Learning Center in room 116!  I am excited for a fun year of learning with your child.  Our school day is filled with play based learning activities to develop the whole child. Our multi-sensory hands on learning approach provides growth opportunities in the areas of:

Pre-academics:

          Literacy - speaking and listening skills, sharing information and answering questions, letter recognition, rhyming, writing and drawing

          Math - sorting, patterning, counting, measuring, comparisons and number identification

          Science and social studies -observing, trial and error, cause and effect

Social/Emotional-

           developing confidence and independence, building positive relationships with peers and teacher

Physical  development -

           Large motor - focus on whole body movement such as running, jumping, climbing etc,

           Small motor - eye/hand coordination and strength for self help skills, writing, and cutting

Art and music activities and opportunities to practice problem solving skills and following directions are a part of each school day.  

Monthly newsletters are posted on Seesaw, as well as photos of activities in class each week.
