Hello!  My name is Joan Hunstiger and I graduated from the College of St. Benedict with a degree in German and Secondary Education.  I earned my M.A. in Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota and taught German for many years at the middle school and high school level.  I earned my M.S. in School Counseling at St. Cloud University, and I look forward to another school year here at East Middle School.

As a school counselor, I enjoy working with, advocating for, and supporting students in the areas of academics, career and college readiness, and social/emotional growth.
