Hello! My name is Amelia Hames, I am a licensed special education teacher. I grew up in Shakopee and graduated from SHS in 2011. I attended the University of Minnesota - Duluth and graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Integrated Elementary and Special Education degree. I also have my elementary K-6 license as well as my special education ABS K-12 license. I recently finished my masters of education in educational technology. 

 

I currently live in Shakopee and have a cat named Nemo. I enjoy being outside in the summer running, kayaking, biking, hiking, and more. I also enjoy reading in my free time. 

 

I teach a variety of special education classes. 

I am looking forward to another great year at SHS!
