  • Shakopee Public School is excited to have Officer Kern serve as a School Resource Officer (SRO) for Shakopee High School. Officer Kern was most recently assigned as a Patrol Officer prior to his SRO position.  He is currently a Field Training Officer (FTO) and a Crime Scene Investigator.  

    His past assignments have included serving as a Narcotics Agent with the Southwest Metro Drug Task Force and as a member of our Street Crimes Unit.

    • What was your favorite memory of high school or school in general? Definitely summertime with my friends!
    • What’s one statement of encouragement that you have for high school students? High school is just a tiny fraction of your life.  Enjoy every moment of it before your parents want to be empty nesters and you need to start adulting. 
    • Favorite sport or activity? Family time!
