Mrs. O'Connell began teaching in Shakopee in 2013 after having taught previously in District 112. She is a graduate of St. Catherine University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, Mrs. O'Connell has earned a K-12 reading certificate through St. Mary's University. 

As a Minnesota Studies teacher, Mrs. O'Connell adores teaching sixth graders and takes pride in consistently challenging her students to represent themselves with Kindness, Integrity, and Empathy for others.
