Students Perform at Tokata Learning Center Cabaret

FEBRUARY 8, 2019 -- Tokata Learning Center students sang, played, read and wowed the crowd at the 2nd annual Cabaret. More than 100 people enjoyed the show at Shakopee High School a few weeks ago.



Thanks to a grant from SEEF (Shakopee Educational Endowment Foundation), students got the opportunity to work with artists from Compas Arts in St. Paul and See More Perspective. Both groups worked with students on perfecting their craft, either with writing or spoken word poetry.


The Tokata Learning Center is a Minnesota State-approved alternative program. The TLC serves students in grades 9 through 12 in the Shakopee school district and surrounding areas. To learn more about Tokata, visit:
