Communications Department

  • The mission of the Communications Department is to provide accurate and timely information to staff, faculty and community members regarding Shakopee Public Schools while also sharing stories of what it truly means to be a Saber. The Communications Department also provides support to Shakopee High School's Academies, Arts & Communications program while also supporting internships for CAPS students.
     
    Our office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are calling during regular business hours, please contact one of the department members below. You can also email communications@shakopee.k12.mn.us with any inquiries including press or media requests.

Data Requests

  • For members of the public seeking data, please fill out our Data Request Form and return it to the Communications Department at 1200 Town Square Shakopee, MN 55379.

Event Promotion & Digital Signs

  • The Shakopee community is the very reason our district thrives. The Communications Department is happy to help promote a school or community event. Please email communications@shakopee.k12.mn.us to submit a request. Remember to include the following event information in your request to expedite the process:
    • Event name and description
    • Date and time
    • Any images or fliers that have been created

    Electronic signs at West and East Middle Schools are only updated monthly (the 2nd Friday of each month). Requests for sign content can be emailed to the Communications Department. The deadline for requests is the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please note that urgent district and/or school messages make adjust availability.
