UPDATED MAY 7, 2020 - In response to the statewide school closure due to COVID-19, Shakopee Public Schools will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through Thursday, June 4, 2020.

To support our parents and guardians who are essential workers, free childcare will be offered for Shakopee Public School students ages 3 (by September 1, 2019 and potty trained) through 12.

Essential workers (including providers of healthcare, emergency medical services, long-term and post-acute care; law enforcement personnel; personnel providing correctional services; public health employees; firefighters and other first responders; and court personnel) are critical to the state's response to COVID-19. This child care is available for families of healthcare workers and other essential personnel ONLY. School-Age care will be closed for all other families.

Children may be dropped off at the lower level at Sun Path Elementary (2250 17th Avenue East Shakopee, MN 55379) from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This care will run from Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through Friday, June 5, 2020 (Subject to change depending on new information and guidelines provided by the state). There will be no Essential Care provided on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020. Students will receive breakfast and lunch. Transportation information will be provided to parents at drop-off.
