MAY 15, 2020 -- Congratulations to Shakopee High School student Rohan Sastri! Sastri has been named a finalist for the 2019-20 Federal Reserve Essay Contest. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the normal recognition program will be held online this year on May 15.

This year’s writing prompt was about free trade. Students had to answer the question: What, if anything, should government do to address the adverse consequences of free trade for some firms and individuals.

The first place winner in the contest receives a cash prize and a paid summer internship at the Minneapolis Fed in the summer of 2021.
