SEEF Awards Shakopee Public Schools $20,479 in Grants

SEFF Grants

The Shakopee Educational Endowment Foundation (SEEF) proudly shared details on the $20,479 in grants that were awarded within the district (2020/21) during the February 22nd school board meeting.

19 of the 28 grant applications received within the district were funded by SEEF, with at least one grant awarded at each PreK-12 school. Grants funded innovative and creative programs such as online resources for PeK-5 students, enhanced science curriculum for Kindergarten and grade 5 students and literacy and core vocabulary resources for K-12 special education students, to name a few.

Since 1991, SEEF has awarded 531 grants totaling more than $419,000 for teacher initiatives across all district campuses. Funds to support grants come from generous donations made by area businesses, service organizations, district staff, community members and alumni.

Shakopee Public Schools is very grateful for SEEF, its supporters and sponsors, and most importantly the students that benefit from the generous donations.
