Summer School 2016

  • As our district continues to grow, innovate, and diversify, so do the needs of our students. Our students who attend summer school may need a different environment than a traditional classroom. Summer school uses online math and reading curriculum supported by classroom activities. Instead of traditional specials like art, music, and PE ,we will offer an hour for students to choose an interest in their learning. A genius hour teacher will help guide students in their self-directed learning. Our summer school program is looking for teachers who are willing to be innovative and experiment with genius hour.

  • Parents are encouraged to talk to their child's teachers and guidance counselor if they have concerns about their child's school year progress and to discuss whether or not summer school would be an option for their child.
