Gwynne ChaseGreetings!! I've had the pleasure to work with the wonderful students and staff at Shakopee West Middle School as a Dean of Students and now, the Principal (2022/23 school year). I was a teacher in Shakopee most of my career starting in 2008. I taught secondary Science in the district for nine years before spending two years as an instructional coach. I am fortunate to be able to keep learning and growing in my career as the Principal of this incredible school.I look forward to continuing to partner with the amazing students and parents that we have in our school community!It is my honor to be a member of the staff at West Middle School. The staff of West Middle School (teachers, office staff, custodians, counselors, food service, and administration) is dedicated and committed to helping all students learn and grow and wants all students to feel welcome and safe. There is conscious effort to individualize instruction to meet each student’s needs.As a community member, I see first hand the support of the schools by the community and I am grateful. As a parent, my children have had dedicated teachers that have helped them learn and grow. As an administrator in the district , I have witnessed dedicated staff working tirelessly with students and often times going above and beyond what is expected of them.
