Students who are enrolled in the Renewable Energy and Electrical Systems Program of Study, will complete a three course sequence in which they will learn the basics of electricity, how and why it works, as well as how to apply electricity to various different areas. Students will also look into how electricity can be created for new renewable ways and how that impacts the environment.
The three course sequence consists of Introduction, intermediate, and an advanced course. For the Transportation Renewable Energy and Electrical Systems of Study students will work through the following sequence:
Introduction
Electricity
Intermediate
Energy and Power Generation (Future Course)
Advanced
Technology Design and Development (Future Course)
Students who might enroll in this Program of Study would be interested in careers in the following fields: Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Electronics Technician, Electrical Power-Line Installers and Repairers, Power Plant Technician Operator, Electrical Systems Designer and Drafter, as well as various other fields related to renewable energy.
