      Scott County Library is providing Tech Packs for residents over the age of 18 who are experiencing job loss/layoff, reduction in work hours or delays in the hiring process. These are available on a limited basis and can be checked out for 90 days. 

      This Tech Pack includes a connection to a hotspot to connect to the internet; a laptop with charger and free job hunting resource information.

    • Project Community Connect

      Due to COVID an in-person Project Community Connect was not held. Resource information was provided to community partners. Please contact the School Social Worker at your school to get information about various resources. 

      Various services and information provided to families in the Scott/Carver area (healthcare, legal, employment, benefits, haircuts, education, housing, education, veteran services and much more!)

    • Car seat inspections

      Research shows that 80 to 90 percent of car seats are used incorrectly. This class is designed to provide instruction and hands-on demonstration to keep your baby safe during vehicle transportation.

    • CAP Agency

      CAP Agency coordinates various social services for Scott County residents including childcare resource and referral, crisis nursery, food shelf, thrift store, housing assistance, WIC program, and heat/energy assistance programs. Call the Shakopee office at 952-496-2125.
       
      WIC voucher pick up is from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. the second Monday, third Thursday and fourth Tuesday of each month at the CAP Agency, 712 Canterbury Road South in Shakopee. Call 952-402-9869.
