It's Always a Great Day to be a Saber!
At Shakopee Public Schools, it's more than an education, it's a commitment to our students, staff and community to make a difference, every day. Located in one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Twin Cities, Shakopee Public Schools is proud to serve the Cities of Shakopee, Savage and Prior Lake as well as Jackson, Louisville and Sand Creek Townships. The district directly supports over 8,000 students, has 1,000+ dedicated staff members, 11+ buildings, 1.7+ million square feet of space and over 350+ acres of land, making it a truly unique community with endless opportunity. The community also recently passed a 2021 Operating Levy, allowing the district to provide additional student and operational-based support as well as competitive compensation for educators and support staff.
Diversity & Opportunity
The Shakopee school district is proud to serve a very diverse population of students and families with more than 70 languages and dialects from around the world spoken in our schools. On average, our student population consists of approximately 60% Caucasian, 13% Asian, 14% Hispanic/Latino, 11% Black/African American and 2% American Indian. Relative to diversity, over the last two years, Shakopee Public Schools has been working with Equity Alliance MN to identify areas for equitable growth throughout our system. During a November 2020 board work session, the district took another positive step by passing a resolution to form a District Equity Leadership Team (DELT).
DELT is comprised of staff, parents and community members, board members and city/county representatives.

Shakopee Public Schools, in partnership with our community, will educate lifelong learners to succeed in a diverse world.
