2021 Community Survey

  • Shakopee Public Schools partnered again with the company Baker Tilly to administer an important Community Survey in the spring of 2021. The district had planned to do this survey in 2019, 2020, 2021 and then periodically in future years. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the ability to administer a 2020 survey. Similar to the 2019 survey, the 2021 survey sought valuable input on the performance of Shakopee Public Schools and asked for opinions and feedback on various district programs, initiatives and the district’s future.

Between Wednesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 12, 407 survey calls were made to randomly selected community members and taxpayers within the district. Participation in the survey was voluntary. The survey had roughly 40 questions.

Feedback gained from the survey was presented by Baker Tilly to the Shakopee school board at the June 28, 2021 school board meeting and is posted below. This type of survey typically had a +/- 4.86% margin of error. The feedback gained from the survey, in addition to various other opportunities for feedback, continues to provide the district with valuable tools and insight needed to continue to grow and develop in serving the community.
