School Start and End Times
The morning elementary school bus routes have been adjusted to provide for a deep cleaning and disinfecting of buses between routes. The afternoon secondary school bus routes have also been adjusted to provide for a similar deep cleaning and disinfecting of buses between routes.
The changes to bus routes impacts the busing tiers and thus school start and end times. The adjusted school start and end times for the 2020-21 school year, and other related information is shown below.
Schools will be placing limits on early arrivals or late departures. These limitations promote health and safety by minimizing opportunities for random groups to congregate. They also allow the custodial staff additional, uninterrupted blocks of time to focus on cleaning and disinfecting.
The elementary schools will not allow students in the building more than 10 minutes prior to the start of school. They will also not allow students to remain longer than 10 minutes past the end of the school day.
At the secondary schools, students will not be allowed in the building (other than for sanctioned activities) more than 20 minutes prior to the start of the school day, and students need to leave the building no more than 10 minutes beyond dismissal (other than for sanctioned activities).
For exact school start and end times, please view the graphic below or visit your schools webpage.
